Brooklyn College Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders OER

The communication arts, sciences, and disorders department (CASD formerly SPEC) is considered one of the best of its kind in the country. You'll have access to a comprehensive range of studies in all aspects of human speech and related pathologies. Through a combination of course work, research, and clinical practicum, you'll gain a thorough grounding in the mechanics of speech and learn to recognize and treat speech disorders in adults and children, including those related to the voice, language, aphasia, stuttering, speech-and-language learning disabilities, and others.
