Marion Nestle is a distinguished author and professor of food studies at NYU. You can subscribe to her daily e-mail at this website, which I highly recommend. She manages to aggregate tons of great news and interesting bits of information and then provides commentary. She has a particular focus on how "research" is often used unethically to promote a certain agenda. She has written a whole book about this subject and frequently highlights examples in her e-mails.
