I am the head of reference and instruction at the Brooklyn College Library, where I assist students to become smart, curious, and confident information seekers. My academic background in anthropology and library science are brought together in my research: multi-year, multi-campus, multi-institution studies of the experiences of undergraduates as students at the City University of New York and beyond. My interest in how students experience the research process, travel through their days, use technology, perceive privacy, and describe their satisfactions and frustrations in turn informs my practice as a librarian.
