Borrowing Information: Lost or Damaged Materials

Everything on borrowing materials from the Library

Policies and Information

A reasonable time is allowed for Library staff to search for a book reported by the patron as returned.

Once a book is determined to be lost, the reader (under whose care the book was lost) is then charged for the price of the book, in addition to a $25.00 service fee. A refund, minus the $25.00 fee, is given if the book is found within a month and you have a receipt.

Lost Music books, Music Scores or DVDs must be paid at the Music desk.  Lost books from the general collection must be paid at the Main circulation desk.

If you have any questions, please inquire at either the Music Desk on the 2nd floor or the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor.

Damaged Materials

Material that is returned damaged may be subject to a fine or replacement charge.
