CITI Training

 As part of the research ethics training, you are required to complete the human subject research online training at CITI program

“The Social-Behavioral-Educational (SBE) Basic course provides an introduction to social-behavioral-educational research with a focus on the protection of human subjects. It offers historic and current information on regulatory and ethical issues important to the conduct of research involving human subjects. Case studies are used within the modules to present key concepts.”

Steps:

  1. Website: https://www.citiprogram.org/Default.asp
  2. Click Register (use your Brooklyn College email)
  3. Select  your organization affiliation: City University of New York (CUNY) Citi program logo.
    1. Click on Agree to Terms of Service
    2. Click on I affirm that I am an affiliate of CUNY
  4. Click Continue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password
  5. Complete the required information (use your Brooklyn College email)
  6. Once signed in:
    1. Click on Add a Course
    2. Select: "Take the Human Subjects Basic Course" - Click Next
    3. Select "HSR for Biomedical Faculty, Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Scholars" - Click Next

You should not need to pay for the training. If you have difficulty accessing the course, please let me know. After you complete the training, save a copy of the certificate and submit it to blackboard.
