New Media Center: Laptop Loan

Second Floor

Laptop Loan

Laptops are available to validated BC students on a first come, first served basis; laptops may not be reserved in advance. A valid Brooklyn College ID and an additional valid physical photo ID, such as a driver's license, are required to borrow a laptop. The secondary ID must match the name and picture on the school ID.

For undergraduate students, laptops are available for same day loan or up to 7-day loan. Graduate students are allowed to borrow PC laptops for up to 30 days. MAC Books are available to all students for 1-day loan only. Laptops must be checked out from the New Media Center and returned to the New Media Center no later than 30 minutes before closing on the due date.

No renewal on laptops! You can borrow again on the following day.

If the laptop is returned late there is a $50-dollar fee for the first overnight delay. Then there is a $10-dollar fee for each additional hour for a max of $100.

If the laptop is broken you will be charged the cost of the replacement part. If the laptop is lost or stolen you will be charged the amount it will cost to replace it. You will not be able to register for classes, order transcripts, or pick up your diploma until this fine is paid.
