The LaGuardia Reading Room is being made available to students taking online classes while on campus. A Pass to the Reading Room can be borrowed from the New Media Desk (2nd Floor).

• A seat in the Reading Room will be assigned to students on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Single stations are located only in the middle of the room while larger group tables that seat a max of 4 are located on the left and right side of the room.
• If the group has 4+ students, you may request two tables next to each other but chairs from other tables should NOT be removed from other empty tables that are not reserved.
• You will need to present a valid ID and fill out the Reading Room Form with your name and EMPLID at the New Media Desk.
• Eating is not allowed in the reading room.
• Please use headphones while in the room -- you can ask for headphones at the New Media Desk.
• Zoom meetings or interviews are allowed in the space but keep the conversation at a reasonable volume.
• Keep conversation in the Reading Room to a whisper.
• If you are discovered breaking the rules you will be asked to leave the room.

Behavior that is not allowed:

• Eating in the reading room
• Bringing people in the room without signing in
• Vaping or Smoking
• Being too loud
• Public Indecency

Note: Reading Room is under 24-hour surveillance
