Introducing Healthy People 2020
Healthy People 2020 continues in this tradition with the launch on December 2, 2010 of its ambitious, yet achievable, 10-year agenda for improving the Nation’s health. Healthy People 2020 is the result of a multiyear process that reflects input from a diverse group of individuals and organizations.
Health, United States 2016 contains a summary, At a Glance table that displays recent data on selected indicators of health and their determinants, cross-referenced to tables in the report. This is followed by a Highlights section, which focuses on both long-term trends and current data on topics of public health interest and illustrates the breadth of material included in Health, United States . The other major sections are a Chartbook, detailed Trend Tables, two Appendixes, and an Index.

The Health, United States 2015 presents an annual overview of national trends in health statistics. The report contains a Chartbook that assesses the nation's health by presenting trends and current information on selected measures of morbidity, mortality, health care utilization and access, health risk factors, prevention, health insurance, and personal health care expenditures. This year's Chartbook includes a Special Feature on racial and ethnic health disparities. The report also contains 114 Trend Tables organized around four major subject areas: health status and determinants, health care utilization, health care resources, and health care expenditures.
