The EFF’s Surveillance Self-Defense (SSD) guide offers practical tips and tools to help protect your digital privacy and security. It covers how to assess risks, use encryption, and safeguard devices and communications from surveillance. SSD is both for beginners new to digital privacy and a more advanced audience (especially those who want to use the content for training purposes). SSD also has good recommendations for how to use Signal, what I should know about encryption, creating strong passwords, attending protests and social media.
