We collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, grassroots organizations, and immigrant communities, to advance results-driven solutions to the challenges facing immigrants and communities throughout the United States.

The Brooklyn College Immigrant Student Success Office (ISSO) supports, advocates for, and empowers students from a variety of immigration backgrounds through an intentional philosophy of holistic support.

CUNY Student Affairs has created a centralized department focused on immigrant student success across all 25 campuses. At CUNY, we work to advocate and empower all students across varying and changing statuses such as, but not limited to, undocumented, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), asylum seeking, Temporary Protective Status (TPS), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), U-Visa recipients, refugee, asylum granted, Cuban-Haitian entrant, parolee, T-visa recipients, persons designated under Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and those in mixed status families.

The Immigrant Defense Project (IDP) was founded over 20 years ago to combat an emerging human rights crisis: the targeting of immigrants for mass imprisonment and deportation.

Regardless of immigration status, race, or gender identity, all find safety, support, and solidarity here. Everyone who comes with an individual story of abuse and exploitation finds that they are not alone – that in collectivizing our experiences and voices, we can build the power to change not just one case, but entire systems.

The NYC Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) work recognizes that immigrant New Yorkers and their children make up a significant proportion of the City's population. Our charter-mandated responsibilities include advising and assisting the mayor, council, and other agencies on programs and policies related to and designed for immigrant New Yorkers; tracking state and federal policy and law that will impact immigrant New Yorkers; increasing access to city programs, benefits, and services by conducting outreach; and helping advise on the legal service needs of immigrants.
