Ready to jump in? Here are a few good things to know about starting your research in earth and environmental sciences:

Articles are in these core databases:.

  • GreenFILE for human impact on the environment, including global warming, sustainable agriculture, recycling, etc.
  • GeoRef for geosciences, geology,  minerology, crystallography, etc.
  • GeoScienceWorld for selected journals across the geosciences

Get background information by using reference works in the field such as the Encyclopedia of Environment and Society, the Encyclopedia of Global Environmental Change, or do a search in the Gale Virtual Reference Library for topic overviews and information.
