Your Brooklyn College & CUNY Accounts: Email • Wi-Fi • Library Remote Access

To read your BC e-mail, you can log in from your Brooklyn College WebCentral account or visit for access. You can also set up an email client on your home computer or on your smartphone/tablet to retrieve mail from your BC account (Android instructions here; iPhone here.)

BC email uses an Exchange server and the server address is Note that College
announcements and Blackboard and Library notices are sent to your BC e-mail address.


Remote Access

In order to access the library remotely:

  • If you enrolled at Brooklyn College Summer 2014 or later,
    • log in with your CUNYFirst user ID followed by @bcacad.local, e.g., joe.doe01@bcacad.local. Note: your full email address is your (e.g.,
    • your password is your two-digit birth month, two-digit birth date, and the last five digits of your CUNYFirst EmplID (format = MMDDEEEEE). Example: If your birthday is June 1 and your EmplID is 12345678, your password would be 060145678.
  • If you enrolled before Summer 2014:
    • your login ID can be found under the My Info/My Personal Info tab in BC Web Central.
    • your BC e-mail password is your two-digit birth month, two-digit birth date, and the last five digits of your Social Security number (format = MMDDSSSSS). Example: if you were born on May 1 and your SS# is 123-45-6789, then your password would be 050156789.

Wi-Fi Access

In order to access the wi-fi, you must be a Brooklyn College student, faculty, or staff member. We do not offer guest access to wi-fi. Students, faculty and staff can log into campus wi-fi with their email address as the ID and email password as the wi-fi password. If you don't know your email address and password, you can look it up on the Brooklyn College Portal.
