We Are Having This Conversation Now Event

We Are Having this Conversation Now: AIDS Work at Brooklyn College

Tuesday April 18, 12:30 PM
Tanger Auditorium
Brooklyn College Library

How do we talk across generations? How do we memorialize within an ongoing crisis? How is the archive a place for activism? What is the role of silence in cultural production? These questions and more are explored in the new book, We Are Having This Conversation Now: The Times of AIDS Cultural Production. The book is co-written by Theodore (ted) Kerr and Brooklyn College professor Alexandra Juhasz. For this event, the pair will be joined by additional Brooklyn College professors, staff, students, alums, and guests who will share their AIDS related cultural production and activism.
