Textbooks at BCL and Beyond

The library is closed, which means there is no access to print books. Here are other some ways to look for books for your classes.

Searching using OneSearch

Search for e-books in our collection. You can limit your search in OneSearch to find just ebooks and electronic book chapters. Search here:

More E-Books Collections & Databases

Look here for more e-book options, including open access (always freely available), subscription content (free, but require you to log in using your BC library login credentials), and open education resources (OER) repositories.

Brooklyn College Bookstore

Here’s a link to Brooklyn College’s online bookstore, where you can search for books by course. There are new, used, e-book, and rental options.

CUNY Textbook Savings and Other Bookstores

The University Office of Computing and Information Services has compiled this fact sheet to help students save money when purchasing textbooks. This list is not exhaustive, so students are encouraged to research other options. Be sure to check with your professor that the version of the textbook you select can be used in your class.

You can also search Barnes & Noble, AbeBooks, and Amazon for new, used, and rentable versions of your textbooks and other required texts.
