This guide was designed to help students identify usable time-series data for their Economics papers. This guide is selective (not comprehensive), and keeps in mind that the audience are new this kind of research. There are many ways to locate this kind of data. The main approach of this guide is to use the Economic journal literature to identify data sources, so that projects and papers are achievable and related to research being pursued by economists and students in training. There is so much structured and unstructured on the internet so that this guide aims to direct students to data sets gathered by authoritative sources and are easily manipulated in Excel or SPSS.
