The City is comprised of five boroughs, containing 59 community districts citywide established by local law in 1975. The DCP Community Portal offers public access to tools, resources and information on a variety of topics related to New York City's land use, community planning and budget processes and demographic trends. Census Data for NYC areas

Population Data is available for a range of geographic units:

Census Tracts are small statistical subdivisions of counties used by the U.S. Census Bureau.which typically have a population of about 2,500 - 4,000 each, and are typically a range of a number of city blocks.  Find data from the 2010 Census by tract.  Maps are provided to guide your choices.

The ACS is a continuous national survey that aims to provide data more than once a decade for all places in the nation. For New York City and its five boroughs, the ACS makes it possible to obtain an annual update of characteristics for each of 55 Census designated PUMA subareas, which approximate NYC Community Districts.
